What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a means of going into a natural state of relaxed hyper- awareness. The recipient is guided into this state where suggestions are presented to the subconscious mind in order to enhance and/or modify behaviors, and create an overall positive physical and mental well being.
Hypnosis is similar to meditation, as the same states of consciousness are reached. Within hypnosis the levels of deep relaxation are accessed which can allow for self awareness, centering, and definition of self. However, hypnosis is a more focused, goal-orientated form of the same state of being. Hypnosis and self-hypnosis offer the same benefits as meditation in a structured, easily obtainable form.
Learning self-hypnosis is a wonderful, easy method for those wishing to practice meditation, but find it challenging to begin. The tool of self-hypnosis allows you to stop the "chatter" in your mind, and self-guide into the peaceful, productive state of your inner self.
Our subconscious minds do not recognize between fact or fantasy, past or present. This is why we tend to react instantly, without thought, to certain situations and environments, though we may not intend or desire to react in such a way. Our subconscious mind does not know the difference between an experience we have already had, or one which is happening now, and re-acts automatically based on previous experience. This is why we tend to repeat behaviors, habits, or even experience the same outcomes as we've experienced in the past, even if it is our desire to experience something different. It is within the state of hypnosis that new thought pattens and habits can be suggested to the subconscious mind to reach the recipient's desired goals.
Hypnosis is a safe, natural, effective way to rid yourself of undesirable behaviors, and create well-being, balance, and desired outcomes for yourself.
